I find it to be the perfect description of PA.  Sure, they have their moments of non-relevant genius, like Twisp and Catsby, or CTS.  But where xkcd makes very highly contextual jokes and leaves it at that, PA makes the same type of in-reference or running gag type joke, but I find them to be very condescending to those who don't "get" it
